Anais BARBEAU-LAVALETTE Directed the documentary LES PETITS PRINCES DES BIDONVILLES (2000). After studying at INIS, she co-directed BUENOS AIRES, NO ILORES, a documentary filmed in Argentina and selected for numerous international festivals. She made her first fictional feature, LE RING, in 2007. Among others, the critically acclaimed film was selected for the 2008 Pusan and Berlin festivals. In 2012, she co-directed the short film INA LITOVSKI with Andre TURPIN. Andre TURPIN Shot Denis Villeneuve’s UN 32 AOUT SUR TERRE (AUGUST 32ND ON EARTH) and MAELSTROM, for which he earned both a Genie and a Jutra Award for best cinematography, and a special prize for artistic achievement at the 2000 Montreal World Film Festival. Also, wrote, directed and photographed the features ZIGRAIL and UN CRABE DANS LA TETE(SOFT SHELL MAN), as well of a segment of the omnibus feature COSMOS.
