Introduction
The film gazes at the old traces and rapid changes wrapped by the mist in the old city foundations of Beijing. The aged roofs piled one over another enveloped by cloud and fog coexist with the cutting sections of demolished buildings. If one calls the new Chinese cinema which has appeared centering around Beijing after 5th generation the "Beijing Dianying," the allegory for this "Beijing Dianying" might be a 'landscape' in the mist.' The mist which seems to replace the history of Chinese cinema with the city nature is more tranquil and abstract than the sentiment of the city. A symphony of large-scale cityscape of tram cars in changeable traffic lanes. It is only a stray thought about the flow which still moves although it seems to be calm. (b-won Lee)
